1000 Islands Kayaking.
Paddle Canada–certified sea kayak tours, rentals, and courses on the St. Lawrence River from Gananoque

The brief.
1000 Islands Kayaking is a commercial sea kayaking outfitter on the St. Lawrence River, operating from 110 Kate Street in Gananoque between Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal, minutes off Highway 401. Programs run from May 9 through October 12 and paddle the Admiralty Islands, Lake Fleet Islands, and Thousand Islands National Park — all inside the UNESCO-designated Frontenac Arch Biosphere Reserve. Nationally certified guides lead half-day, full-day, and two-night camping tours for ages 6 and up, while a Paddle Canada course ladder runs from a one-day Basic Skills Course to weekend Level 1 and a five-day Level 2 expedition certification. Self-guided rentals, a zoned boat shuttle to the islands, and private pontoon-boat sightseeing tours round out the lineup.
