Back Forty Glamping is a family-owned geodesic dome resort on a 26-acre property in Meaford, on the South Georgian Bay side of Grey County, Ontario. The McIntosh families opened the site after discovering East Coast glamping in 2018, and now operate seven domes split between Forest Domes — tucked along the treeline on elevated wooden decks, with propane fireplaces and transparent stargazing roofs — and Meadow Domes positioned in open fields on heated concrete pads. Every dome has a private hot tub, king-sized bed, ensuite three-piece bathroom, kitchenette, BBQ, and private fire pit, spaced 70 to 100 feet apart with privacy fencing. Stays run year-round with a two-night minimum, and the property is adults-only — two guests aged 18-plus per dome, no children, no pets.

Each dome has a private hot tub, king-sized bed, three-piece ensuite, kitchenette, BBQ, and a private fire pit, with snowshoes provided December through March and firewood from April through December.

Meadow Domes
For: Two adults (18+) per domeWhen: All four seasons; 2-night minimum, no Saturday check-in or check-outMeadow Domes are positioned in open fields with views of distant forest, resting on concrete pads with in-floor heating and large front windows for stargazing from the bed or the private hot tub. They share the Forest Dome interior package — king-sized bed, ensuite bathroom, kitchenette, BBQ, private fire pit, Wi-Fi, and privacy fencing — and one unit, the Capella dome, is specially designed for enhanced accessibility in the kitchen and bathroom.
