Bonnechere Caves.
Family-run guided cave tours through 500-million-year-old limestone formations on the Bonnechere River.

The brief.
Bonnechere Caves sits along the Bonnechere River in Eganville, Ontario, where the Hinsperger family has welcomed visitors underground for more than 65 years. The site preserves a network of limestone passages formed beneath an ancient tropical sea, with fossils of cephalopods, brachiopods, corals and other marine life visible in the cave walls. Guided tours run on a walk-in basis from the May long weekend through Thanksgiving, with small groups of up to 25 led through the chambers by interpretive guides. Above ground, the property includes walking trails, a sinkhole, picnic facilities and views of the Fourth Chute Falls. The caves also host seasonal events including the Cavestock concert series and cycling activities.
