The brief.

Canoeing the Grand operates self-guided paddling and tubing trips on the Grand River from its base at 3734 King Street East in Kitchener, Ontario. Trips run point-to-point along the Walter Bean Trail corridor and are graded beginner through advanced, from the 5 km Woolner route to the 42 km Wilson Flats run. Rentals cover two-person and solo canoes, adult, junior and tandem kayaks, plus round tubes, tracker rafts and cooler tubes. The operation serves families, dog owners and groups of 2 to 400 for team building. River guides are available on request for an added fee, and all participants must complete waivers before arrival. The season runs May to November, with reservations opening April 1.
