H2O Getaways rents pontoon houseboats on the Trent-Severn Waterway, a 386-km lock-and-lake corridor that connects Lake Ontario to Georgian Bay. The fleet of four 40-to-44-foot vessels sleeps up to six and departs from Lock 1 in Quinte West, north of Trenton. No prior boating experience is required: every charter begins with about ninety minutes of hands-on training covering steering, docking, and lock operation, and the boats are fitted with bow and stern thrusters to make manoeuvring straightforward. Trips run from mid-May through mid-October, with long-weekend, one-week, and two-week itineraries. Guests can add kayaks, paddleboards, and aqua pads to extend time on the water at each overnight mooring.
