Bareboat sailboat charters from Collins Bay Marina in Kingston, with cruising routes through Lake Ontario and the Thousand Islands

Kingston Sailing Charters
01 — About

The brief.

Kingston Sailing Charters is a bareboat sailboat charter operator based at Collins Bay Marina in Kingston, Ontario, on the north-eastern end of Lake Ontario where the St. Lawrence River begins. The fleet of four cruising sailboats — a Hunter 28, Catalina 32, Hunter 34.5, and Catalina 42 Mk1 — covers groups from couples up to seven, with departures west toward Prince Edward County and east into the Thousand Islands. The company is owner-operated by Colin and Marcia, who acquired it in 2022 after more than a decade in the Caribbean watersports and boat industry. Charters are bareboat — guests skipper the vessel themselves — so booking is gated by an experience application: prior chartering, ownership, or sailing credentials and an approval code are required before reservations open. The 2026 charter season runs June 1 through September 30.
