01 — About

The brief.

Muskoka Mountainworks runs guided rock and ice climbing and instructional workshops across southern Ontario, including Muskoka, Haliburton, Madawaska, Bancroft, and the Niagara Escarpment. Guided rock days on lakeside granite run as half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) outings, with provided helmet, harness, climbing shoes, ropes, anchors, and belay devices; winter full days add ice tools, mountaineering boots, and crampons. A four-tier workshop progression moves climbers from Apprentice (belaying, technique, knots, hazards, Leave No Trace) through Journeyman (natural, mechanical, and ice anchors, rappelling) to Craftsman (sport, trad, aid, multi-pitch, mixed and lead ice climbing), with Custom sessions for gym-to-crag transitions, fear management, and targeted skills. A signed waiver is required via CleverWaiver.
