Newfie Nautical Tours runs guided stand-up paddleboard outings on the Lynn River toward Black Creek at Port Dover, Ontario. Trips paddle calm freshwater past wildlife including turtles and herons, often accompanied by the operator's Newfoundland dog. The roster spans Intro Paddles for first-timers with zero experience, Guided Paddles for mixed skill levels, evening Sunset Glow Paddles, low-cost Sunday Safari Paddles, and free Summer Social Paddles. Intro sessions cover a safety briefing and float plan, on-land and on-water instruction in remounting and paddling technique, and weather awareness. Boards, paddles, leashes, and safety gear (PFD, whistle, heaving line, flashlight, drybag) are provided. Participants must be able to swim; sessions may not suit children under 10.
