The brief.
Paisley Mill is a historic grist mill (formerly Stark's Mill and Paisley City Roller Mills) on the Teeswater River in Paisley, Ontario. Current owners Graham and Emma Cubitt acquired the property in 2020 and are restoring it for adaptive reuse including guest accommodations and a planned micro-hydro system. The 30-acre property includes trail access, shared canoe and kayak use, and several stay options: the Mill Yurt on the millpond, the Mill Loft (six guests), the Mill Retreat in five- and three-bedroom configurations, and four monthly one-bedroom suites on the third floor. The yurt operates year-round; the three-bedroom Mill Retreat runs September through May.
