Guided wild-edible and mushroom foraging walks across southwestern Ontario woodlands, based near Stratford.

Puck's Plenty
01 — About

The brief.

Puck's Plenty is run by Peter Blush, who leads foraging treks through woodland trails across Stratford, Oxford County, Cambridge, Woodstock, and surrounding southwestern Ontario. Walks teach identification of wild edibles and mushrooms and prudent harvesting, covering plants such as wild leeks, wild ginger, nettles, sochan, and wood sorrel and fungi including summer oysters, platterfuls, and the black velvet bolete. Outings run roughly 2.5 to 3 hours, rain or shine, and dated events sometimes include samples or produce from partners like Fresh and Tasty Mushrooms, Shogun Maitake, and Walch Family Strawberries. The name references Puck from A Midsummer Night's Dream, a nod to Stratford's Shakespeare Festival. Puck's Plenty has been featured in the National Post, The Globe and Mail, and Travel and Leisure.
