The brief.

Sauble River Marina & Lodge Resort is a family-owned marina and lodging operator on the Sauble River in Sauble Beach, Ontario, run by Ken and Charlene Reinhart on the Bruce Peninsula about 200 kilometres northwest of Toronto and 170 kilometres from Kitchener-Waterloo. The site sits a five-minute walk from the north end of Sauble Beach's sandy Lake Huron shoreline and combines six year-round riverside accommodation units with a public watercraft rental fleet that includes kayaks, canoes, SUPs, two- and four-pedlar pedal boats, row boats for fishing, touring bikes, and novelty craft like the Corcl and Wigwag. Accommodations operate year-round; the public rental dock runs daily in July and August and weekends only in June and September.

    Lodge Resort Accommodations

    For: Couples, families, and groups (non-smoking; no pets)When: Year-round; 2-night minimum, 3-night minimum on long weekends

    Six named units on the riverbank — Lodge (1 king + 3 doubles), Happy Days, Elvis (2 doubles + futon), Evergreen, Riverside, and King's Landing (1 king). Every unit has a 4-piece bathroom, satellite TV, DVD, internet, microwave, BBQ, ceran cook top, and a river view; select units add a balcony, fire-pit, electric fireplace, or air conditioning. A 50% deposit is required at booking with the balance due 14 days before arrival; strict no-cancellation policy. Check-in 3 pm / check-out 11 am.

    Six units, nightly. Low-season floor: Riverside / King's Landing $100, Evergreen $110, Elvis $120, Happy Days $140, Lodge $200. Peak: Riverside / King's Landing $220, Evergreen $240, Elvis $260, Happy Days $280, Lodge $390. HST and MAT extra.

    Watercraft & Equipment Rentals

    For: Public — open to non-guests as well as resort guests; refundable security deposits requiredWhen: Daily in July & August; weekends only in June & September

    A broad public rental fleet on the Sauble River: row boats and canoes for fishing the river, 1- and 2-person kayaks, SUPs, two- and four-pedlar pedal boats, kids' paddle wheel boats, touring bikes, two-person Rickcycles, lazy river float tubes, and Corcl and Wigwag novelty craft. Refundable security deposits run from $50 (tubes) up to $800 (SUP, canoe, Rickcycle, fishing boat). "10 minutes over is the next hour rate charge." Boat slips also available.

    Hourly to weekly. Sample 2026 rates (plus 13% HST): 1-person Kayak $20/hr, $45/8 hr, $90/weekend; 2-person Kayak or Canoe $30/hr, $130/weekend; SUP $25/hr, $105/weekend; 2-pedlar Pedal Boat $25/hr, 4-pedlar Pedal Boat $35/hr; Row Boat (fishing) $30/hr; 2-person Rickcycle $40/hr; touring bicycle $15/hr; Lazy River Float Tube $20/hr.

    Sauble River Fish Derby

    For: Anglers and familiesWhen: November 20–22, 2026

    A three-day late-fall derby on the Sauble River, with a $300 prize purse (contingent on 40 tickets sold) and expected catches of 6–12 lb trout and salmon. A 2-night minimum stay applies for accompanying lodging bookings; register by phone at 519-422-1762.
