The brief.

SMART Adventures operates out of the Horseshoe Resort area north of Barrie, Ontario, offering guided off-road tours and rider training across multiple disciplines. The centre runs ATV tours through Central Ontario forest trails, Yamaha Wolverine side-by-side rides, dual sport motorcycle courses on BMW GS bikes, and snowmobile programs in winter. Programs are structured for first-time riders, families, kids and teens, and experienced adventurers, with full gear provided. Group bookings for team-building and celebrations are accommodated across all vehicle types. Motorcycle training, maintenance courses, and tiered dual sport instruction (Intro, Level 1, Level 2) round out the year-round schedule.

    ATV Guided Tours

    For: Beginners and family groups

    Guided off-road ATV tours on Central Ontario forest trails. Full gear is provided and pace is adjustable. Suited to first-time riders and family groups exploring scenic terrain with an instructor.

    SXS – Wolverine Tours

    For: Couples, families, and groups

    Two-hour guided tours in four-seater Yamaha Wolverine side-by-sides with standard steering wheel, gas, and brake pedals. Routes follow forest trails and the vehicle is built to carry couples, families, or small groups together.

    Dual Sport Courses

    For: Motorcycle riders progressing from on-road to off-road

    Tiered dual sport instruction on BMW GS motorcycles, structured as Intro, Level 1, and Level 2. Courses build off-road skills for riders moving from pavement to mixed terrain. Course schedule is posted on the website.

    Motorcycle Training & Maintenance

    For: Ages 6+ riders and motorcycle owners

    Motorcycle training programs focused on skill development for riders age 6 and up, plus a separate maintenance course covering motorcycle upkeep. Instruction is delivered at the SMART Adventure Centre facility.

    Snowmobile Programs

    For: Families, kids, and adult ridersWhen: Winter (through April 30)

    Winter snowmobile programs using mini sleds for children and full-sized machines for adults. Includes full-day CSC training option. Operates seasonally in Central Ontario through late April.

    For: Youth riders

    Motorcycle and ATV programs structured for kids and teens, focused on building confidence and coordination through off-road riding. Designed as outdoor, screen-free instruction with age-appropriate equipment.
