The brief.
Sugardogs Adventure Co. is a dogsledding operation run by Ed on his family property just outside Sundridge, Ontario, in the Almaguin Highlands west of Algonquin Park. Running since 2005, the operation keeps 22 working sled dogs and offers hands-on winter workshops where guests meet the team, learn to hook and harness dogs, and ride the trails. Sessions range from a two-hour signature workshop for one to three people to a three-hour group experience for four to six, plus advanced private lessons drawing on Ed's 25-plus years of experience. Private trail networks accommodate custom events and filming. Non-expiring gift certificates are available, and an onsite hot trail lunch can be added on request.

Signature Dogsledding Workshop (1-3 people)
For: Ages 4+ (up to 4 people, weight dependent)A two-hour hands-on session with up to one hour of trail time. Guests meet the dogs, get instruction, help set up the team, and ride the trails through scenic and technical terrain. Starts at 10:00 AM or 1:00 PM.
Child (4-13) $140 + HST / Adult $250 + HST; seniors 5% off

Dogsledding Group Experience (4-6 people)
For: Ages 5+ (groups of 4-6)A three-hour session with about 30 minutes of trail time per person. The group meets the dogs and gets instruction, then rotates trail turns from base camp with hot-chocolate breaks and photo opportunities. 11:00 AM start.

Advanced Dogsledding Workshop / Private Lessons
For: 1-2 peopleCustom professional instruction for one or two people covering hooking up teams and guiding sleds, taught by Ed, who has 25-plus years of dogsledding experience.
