Summerstown Trails
01 — About

The brief.

Summerstown Trails is operated by the Friends of the Summerstown Trails (FOTST), a non-profit founded around 1970 that maintains a recreational trail network at 6150 County Road 27 in Williamstown, Ontario. Winter brings over 20 km of groomed trails for classic and skate cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, plus over 10 km of machine-groomed fat-biking trails. Spring and fall open the trails to hiking and mountain biking, with a Trillium bloom in early May and fall foliage. FOTST runs Learn-to-Ski programs through its Jackrabbit-style kids streams and adult classic and skate lessons, and holds affiliations with Nordiq Canada, Cross Country Ski Ontario, and the National Coaching Certification Program. On-site rentals cover skis, snowshoes, and fat bikes.
