The brief.
Operating since 1999, Toronto Adventures runs the Humber River Paddling Centre, a short walk from the Old Mill TTC station. The outfitter rents single and tandem kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddleboards, and leads instructed paddles, Voyageur canoe trips, and themed night tours including Full Moon and Glow-in-the-Dark outings. It delivers Paddle Canada certification at Sunnyside Beach, offering Waterfront Kayaking Skills and Basic Sea Kayaking Skills courses. The company also hosts team-building sessions, birthday and school groups, on-river music, comedy and movie events, and Humber River cleanups. Rentals include watercraft, paddles, PFDs, a safety orientation and a complimentary River Rewards membership after a first paddle.
