Westlake E-Bikes.
Self-serve Journey e-bike rentals in Prince Edward County and Tobermory, with app-based unlock and stations along the Millennium Trail
The brief.
Westlake E-Bikes is a self-serve electric bike rental operator running app-based pedal-assist rentals in two Ontario regions: Prince Edward County, where it has six stations including Picton, Wellington, and two trailheads on the Millennium Trail (a converted rail line); and Tobermory, where two stations sit on Main Street and at Little Tub Harbour near the ferry terminal. The fleet uses Journey E-Bikes in high-step and low-step frames, with pedal assist, extended battery range, integrated safety lighting, and smart locks unlocked by QR code through the Ridenet app. Riders return to any station inside the same operating area. Helmets are provided at most stations, and pre-booking is optional — day-of walk-ins are accepted for most vehicles.
