Windsong Ranch is a family-owned Western horsemanship ranch on 100 acres in Bognor, Grey County, run by Gord and Heather Sturm and operating since 2004. The property sits above the Queens Valley between Chatsworth and Meaford, with a 22-stall barn, indoor and outdoor arenas, and an extensive trail system through fields and woods. Trail rides run Friday through Sunday from May to October for ages seven and up, capped at five riders. Year-round Fun Rides give returning riders weekly mentored group time across four skill bands. Lessons cover Western riding, driving, and horse handling under Gord Sturm — a Level 3 Harmony Horsemanship Instructor, Professional Teamster, and EAL-certified coach — with options to ride Windsong horses or trailer in your own.

Trail Rides
For: All ages — riders 7+ for the 2-hour ride, 12+ for the 3-hour ride; 250 lb weight limit; no experience necessaryWhen: May through October, Fridays, Saturdays and SundaysGuided Western trail rides through forests, hills and fields on a 100-acre ranch, capped at five riders per outing. Fun Rides
For: Returning riders across four skill bands — low-impact, beginner, intermediate, advanced; groups of 4–6When: Year-round — Wednesdays 2:00pm–4:00pm; Thursdays 2:00pm–4:00pm; Fridays 4:30pm–6:30pmWeekly mentored two-hour group rides focused on trail riding and equine connection, billed as recurring monthly programs rather than one-off bookings. New riders join after an assessment session with Gord, unless they have already been on a Windsong trail ride. Helmets and loaner boots available; signed release of liability waiver required before any ride.

Lessons
For: All ages and all levels — beginner, intermediate, advanced; private and groupWhen: Year-roundInstruction covers horse handling, care, Western riding, and driving horses under the "Windsong Way" — Gord Sturm's Level 3 Harmony Horsemanship and Professional Teamster background applied to ridden and driven work. Students can use Windsong horses or trailer in their own. Arena rentals and trailer-in lessons make the indoor arena available to outside horse-and-rider pairs.

Training
Three programs run by Gord Sturm: training for recreational trail riding (exposing horses to fields, bush, hills, water crossings, roadways, wildlife and machinery), training to drive using the "Windsong Way," and general horse training for owners working with their own horses, either at Windsong's indoor arena or on-site at the client's facility. Boarding
When: Year-roundFull Board from $500 +hst per month, Part Board from $300 +hst per month for approved riders, and Trailer-In Overnight at $35 +hst. Full Board includes 24/7 free-range hay, water, salt and minerals (owner supplies grain) in 10×12 box stalls with windows, rubber mats and shavings, plus large lockable tack closets and access to the 22-stall barn, indoor and outdoor arenas with obstacles, and fenced paddocks. Proof of Equine Insurance required.
