Wolf's Den Sports is a retail shop and outdoor recreation property at 7560 8th Line in Utopia, Ontario, selling archery gear, firearms, ammunition, and accessories, and buying and trading used firearms with Canada-wide shipping. The grounds include an archery range running from 20 to 100 yards, a walking 3D trail of foam animal targets, axe and knife throwing stations, two catch-and-release bass ponds, and six propane BBQs included with a day pass. Recurve bows are available to rent. The shop also delivers firearms-licensing instruction: Non-Restricted (PAL) and Restricted (R-PAL) courses and a Hunter Safety course, held on select Saturdays and Sundays year-round with exams following the course.

    Non-Restricted PAL Course

    For: Ages 12+When: Select weekends year-round

    Canadian Firearms Safety Course for the non-restricted Possession and Acquisition Licence, with the exam delivered following the course. Requires a valid photo ID. Start times are emailed about a week ahead and sessions end between 6 and 8 PM.

    $210 ($150 non-refundable deposit, $60 due first morning)

    Restricted PAL (R-PAL) Course

    For: Ages 18+ who have completed the Non-Restricted PALWhen: Select weekends year-round

    Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course leading to the restricted Possession and Acquisition Licence, with the exam following instruction. Requires a valid photo ID and prior completion of the Non-Restricted PAL course.

    $210 ($150 non-refundable deposit, $60 due first morning)

  3. 03

    Hunter Safety Course

    For: Ages 12+When: Select weekends year-round

    Ontario Hunter Education course covering safe and responsible hunting, with the Hunter Safety Manual included and a valid photo ID required. Held on select weekends; dates are arranged by phone.

    $190 ($90 non-refundable deposit, $100 due first morning)

    For: Ages 12+When: Select weekends year-round

    Combined package pairing the Non-Restricted PAL course with the Hunter Safety course at a reduced rate over booking them separately.

    $360 ($200 deposit, $160 balance; saves $40)

    Non-Restricted PAL + Restricted PAL Combination

    For: Ages 18+When: Select weekends year-round

    Combined package covering both the Non-Restricted and Restricted firearms-licensing courses at a reduced rate over booking them separately.

    Archery Range & 3D Trail Day Pass

    For: All ages
