Yours Outdoors
01 — About

The brief.

Yours Outdoors is a guided-experience broker based in Ontario's Haliburton Highlands, operating as a division of Haliburton Forest & Wild Life Reserve Ltd. Founded in 2006 by former Ministry of Natural Resources educator Barrie Martin, it curates experiences across art, culture, history, and outdoor recreation, drawing on local guides, environmental and outdoor professionals, artists, and area characters. Programming runs through all four seasons and ranges widely, from wild-edible foraging and mushroom identification to astronomy, ice climbing, igloo building, flameworking, and tin-boat fishing. The company frames its work around ecotourism principles and environmental awareness, presenting the region's ecosystems and cultural heritage through locally rooted, professionally led activities. Custom experiences can be arranged year-round, and offerings are bookable by date through the website.
