Scenic Caves Nature Adventures.
Self-guided cave system, 420-foot suspension bridge, and 27 km Nordic Centre on the Niagara Escarpment near Collingwood
The brief.
Scenic Caves Nature Adventures is a 370-acre nature park on the Niagara Escarpment in Blue Mountains, Ontario, within one of Canada's eighteen UNESCO biosphere sites. The site centres on a self-guided system of seventeen glacial caves and caverns, a 420-foot suspension footbridge — southern Ontario's longest — strung 82 feet above the forest floor with 360-degree views of south Georgian Bay, and 15 km of warm-season trails through a 200-year-old forest. In winter the property converts to the Scenic Caves Nordic Centre, with 27 km of daily-groomed cross-country trails (classic and skate), a 12 km snowshoe network, guided night snowshoe hikes, and a one-hour relaxation sauna. The warm season runs May through October; the Nordic Centre runs through winter and into early April.
