Skydive Wasaga Beach.
Tandem and solo-student skydiving over Georgian Bay and Wasaga Beach, Ontario, jumps from 12,500 feet
The brief.
Skydive Wasaga Beach is a commercial drop zone at 1777 Klondike Park Road in Wasaga Beach, Ontario, running tandem and solo-student skydives over Georgian Bay and the long sandbar shoreline the operator calls the world's longest freshwater beach. Jumps go to roughly 12,500 feet, with about 60 seconds of freefall at speeds over 200 km/h before a guided canopy ride and landing. The dropzone runs seven days a week from May 1 through October 31, 8am to 8pm. The instructor team carries decades of jump experience — including a tandem examiner and instructors with thousands of logged jumps — and an in-house military-trained packer and rigger handles all parachutes on site.
