The brief.

The Real Barrie Paintball operates a 50-acre wooded paintball and airsoft facility on the 10th Line of Essa Township, about 3.5 kilometres south of Highway 90 and a short drive from Barrie. The site lays out 17 playing fields including the "Sin City" close-quarters battle (CQB) field, with a pro shop, five BBQ areas, a VIP tent, and a Bochi Ball court on-site for groups between games. Paintball runs Monday through Friday by reservation and Saturday and Sunday with walk-on welcomed; airsoft games run every Sunday from 9am to 5pm. Rental packages start at $34.99 per player and the minimum age for rental paintball is 10. Reservations are taken by phone.

    A full-day pass on the 50-acre site with access to all 17 fields including the Sin City CQB field. Rental fee covers insurance, basic mask, marker, and unlimited HPA fills, with a starter 50 paintballs. Group discounts apply at 30+ ($29.99/player) and 60+ ($24.99/player); private group bookings require 20 or more. Mon–Fri reservations need a six-player minimum.

    Rental players $34.99/day (basic mask, marker, free HPA all day, 50 paintballs); gun owners $24.99/day. Paintballs sold separately at $18/100 bulk; non-member 500/1000/2000 packs at $59/$99/$169, member packs at $40/$75/$135.

    For: Players who own and bring their own gearWhen: Sundays 9am–5pm; weekday bookings with 6+ players and 24 hours' notice

    A full Sunday session on the same 50-acre, 17-field site as paintball. Rentals are not offered, so players supply their own marker and protective gear. Only biodegradable BBs are permitted on the outdoor site; bio BBs are sold on-site, and any outside-purchased BBs must be staff-inspected before play.
