The brief.
Wasaga Adventure Park is an owner-built outdoor adventure park in Elmvale, Ontario, about an hour north of Toronto via Highway 400 and Barrie. Operating for over 29 years, the 50-acre property runs eight ground-based combat and target sports on 13 named playing courses — including Gi Town, Crossfire Creek, Rumble in the Jungle, and Mansion. Programs span paintball and Low Impact paintball for ages 8 and up, airsoft for ages 14 and up, gel blasters and dart tag from age 5, laser combat, archery tag, and coached axe throwing in a covered outdoor pavilion. Summer paintball day camps run three weeks across July and early August, and the annual Wasaga Big Game scenario weekend runs August 14–16, 2026.

Paintball
For: Ages 10+When: Walk-on weekends from March 7, 2026 — Saturday–Sunday for Woodsball, Sunday for Speedball; private bookings anytimeTraditional woodsball and speedball across 13 named courses, with rental packages including a semi-auto paintball gun, thermal mask, 3000 PSI tank with unlimited refills, and camo jacket. The Ultimate Team Building package runs four hours with a private referee and 500 paintballs per player. Only Wasaga Signature paintballs permitted; group bookings require a $100 deposit three days in advance.

Low Impact Paintball
For: Ages 8+When: Spring through fall (closed in winter; played only above 10°C)A lower-impact format for younger players using lower-caliber ammunition. The two-hour Party Pack includes a private referee, 2,000 paintballs, and full rental gear (semi-auto gun, thermal mask, air tank with unlimited refills, camo jacket). Additional players $25 each; an optional party tent with mini-fridge and BBQ access is $50.

Airsoft
For: Ages 14+ (under 18 requires adult sign-in)When: Sunday walk-ons through spring, summer, and fall, 10am–5pmSunday-only walk-on airsoft on the same field network used for paintball. Rentals come with 1,000 Bio BBs and a facemask; goggles must be paintball-approved or Revision-brand with enclosed sides and a strap. Speeds capped at 1.5 joules with .20 BBs, bio BBs only, no laser sights. Confirm dates by phone or via the Wasaga Airsoft Community Facebook page.

Gel Blasters
For: Ages 5+When: Outdoor seasonal; private bookingsThe lowest age-floor combat option, played outdoors in the arena with team objectives. Each bundle includes safety glasses, a Gel Blaster gun with hopper, and rental equipment. Additional hours $100; party tent add-on $50; $100 deposit three days in advance. Long pants and long sleeves recommended.

For: Ages 8+When: Outdoor seasonal; private bookings (mobile events available)Outdoor infrared laser tag using guns with ranges to 800 feet, run as bundle bookings on the same field network. Extra hour $100; party tent $50. Waivers mandatory for all participants; $100 deposit required 72 hours in advance.

For: Ages 10+When: Outdoor seasonal; private bookingsCombat archery using foam-tipped arrows — described on the operator's site as combining elements of dodgeball with the skills of archery. Played outdoors only. Each bundle includes one hour and full rental equipment. First-come first-served booking; $100 deposit three days in advance; non-refundable with 72-hour rebook window.

Axe Throwing
For: Ages 13+When: Saturday–Sunday 10am–5pm; private bookings anytimeCoached axe throwing in an outdoor covered pavilion, with a dedicated coach, organized games, and private lanes on the one- and two-hour tiers. The half-hour and one-hour tiers require no group minimum or appointment. The two-hour package needs eight or more players and a $100 deposit three days in advance.

For: Traditional paintball ages 10–15; Low Impact paintball ages 8–15When: Three weekly sessions in 2026 — July 6–10, July 20–24, August 3–7; Mon–Fri 9am–4pmFive-day paintball camps with all equipment and 500 paintballs included daily, instruction from experienced players and referees, and a minimum 1:8 counsellor ratio. Afternoons rotate through laser combat, go-karts, and beach activities. Online registration form and waiver required; full refund 4+ weeks before camp, non-refundable within 4 weeks.

For: Paintball players (open team registration — Knightmare or Dragon)When: August 14–16, 2026The park's annual signature scenario weekend, played on the Knightmare-vs-Dragon team format with three days of structured play. Friday opens with registration at noon, the TiPX Challenge at Mansion, a Pig Roast ($10) and a Vendors Village; Saturday runs from a 10am game start through a 2pm Corn Feast and 4pm Final Battle; Sunday rotates Stock Class Woodsball, MagFed Madness, Regular Woodsball, and Open Speedball.
